DC’s Aquaman, actor Jason Momoa, will be portraying Rico Rodriquez in the upcoming Just Cause movie based on the popular action-adventure game.
According to Variety Momoa will star as the protagonist in a Just Cause film that will be based on the video game. Although there hasn’t been any information released about the story, it would probably be a safe guess to say that we will be seeing Momoa’s character performing all sorts of over the top stunts (car surfing anyone?).
The film is based on the action-packed video game franchise which follows protagonist Rico Rodriquez as he fights to save quite a number of small nations from the grasp of their various dictators. The game’s story involves loads of explosions and stunts (sounds like something Mr Bay would’ve loved to direct).
The project will be helmed by “San Andreas” director Brad Peyton, with Peyton also acting as producer alongside Jeff Fierson.
