Daniel Craig makes his final appearance as James Bond in the trailer for the latest instalment in the 007 franchise, No Time To Die.
The story finds 007 living in the Caribbean after retiring from active service. But his quiet life is disrupted when his friend, CIA officer Felix Leiter, asks for help in the search for a missing scientist. When Bond discovers the scientist was kidnapped, he finds himself partnered with a new agent and reunited with old colleagues to take on a dangerous new enemy.
No Time To Die sees Lea Seydoux return as James Bond’s love interest Dr Madeleine Swann. And Christoph Waltz is back as Blofeld, who was arrested by the British Secret Services (at the end of the previous film) following his time as head of global criminal organization, Spectre.
The action-packed trailer has all the cool spy stuff fans have come to expect from the franchise over the years. It opens with James and Madeleine being chased in an Aston Martin, as he suspects her of betraying him. “We all have our secrets. We just didn’t get to yours yet”, he says.
Bond encounters Nomi, (Lashana Lynch), a new MI5 agent who is rumoured to have taken the 007 moniker. She urges him to stay in his lane, “You get in my way and I will put a bullet in your knee… the one that works,” she warns.
Blofeld is seen handcuffed in a secure prison and suggests that Madelaine Swann, may be hiding a dark secret. The trailer also gives fans a look at Rami Malek as the villainous, creepy mask-wearing, Safin.
No Time To Die, the twenty-fifth instalment in the James Bond series, is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and also stars Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Billy Magnussen, Ana de Armas, Rory Kinnear, David Dencik, Dali Benssalah and Ralph Fiennes.
Daniel Craig made his debut as James Bond in 2006’s Casino Royale, and will retire the role after this film. No Time to Die is scheduled for release on April 8, 2020.
