After last month’s launch, the release dates for Apple’s latest smartphone, the iPhone 8, has been doing the rounds across the globe and been coming thick and fast as the company gears towards a full release. South Africans are now able mark the dates in their calendar as the iStore announced the official date.
The iPhone 8 will be released in stores across the country on Friday, 20th October 2017. Paired with the launch, the announcement of two new unique offers has also been made public, all in celebration of the iPhone’s 10th anniversary, Free iCare Plus and the Double Trade-In.
Free iCare Plus
The first customers to upgrade to the new iPhone 8 at an iStore will get a 2-year extended warranty, which includes screen repair, which typically sells for R1,499. The Free iCare Plus can be secured via the official website until 31 December 2017.
Apple has previously offered trade-ins for previously released iPhones in good condition. Customers are now able to trade-in two qualifying iOS products towards the upgrade of a new iPhone 8.
Both offers are unique to the iStore and will be valid for all cash purchases, any contract upgrades (on any of South Africa’s carriers), and with the iStore Card payment plan.
