The release date for Stephen King’s novel series turned film, The Dark Tower, is just around the corner, arriving on August 4. We are finally given another look at the movie, but is it enough to convince audiences to change their minds?
Sony Pictures has released a new international trailer for The Dark Tower, which provides loads of new footage of Idris Elba’s Gunslinger and Matthew McConaughey’s Man in Black in action. Many fans were disappointed with the first trailer, some claiming that it wasn’t true to King’s original vision and others complaining that it wasn’t exciting enough.
There are other worlds than these. Stephen King’s The Dark Tower, the ambitious and expansive story from one of the world’s most celebrated authors, makes its launch to the big screen. The last Gunslinger, Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), has been locked in an eternal battle with Walter O’Dim, also known as the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey), determined to prevent him from toppling the Dark Tower, which holds the universe together. With the fate of the worlds at stake, good and evil will collide in the ultimate battle as only Roland can defend the Tower from the Man in Black.
