Ed Boon, the creator of Mortal Kombat and the creative director for NeatherRealms, posted a poll on his Twitter account asking fans if they want to see Watchmen characters in Injustice 2. The answer was, of course, a very obvious yes.
The ties between DC’s main superhero characters and the Watchmen are pretty obvious, especially seeing as the current Rebirth series seems to hint that Doctor Manhattan might be the cause behind the New 52 world changes. It seems like a perfect idea to have Doctor Manhattan fight off against the likes of Superman. Or perhaps you’d prefer Nite Owl versus Batman or Aquaman versus The Comedian. Either way, we’re in and over 70% of responders agree – the Watchmen should join the long list of characters for Injustice 2.
So far, the response sits at 72 percent yes and 28 percent no, with over 15000 votes registered.
