Syfy’s Krypton, a prequel to the DCEU’s Man of Steel, has a new teaser trailer that shows us more of the House of El and the city Seg-El, Superman’s great ancestor, lives in.
The TV series, which will focus on the forbidden love between Seg-El and Lyta Zod and the deep Superman mythology, will be executive produced by David S. Goyer, whose work includes the Dark Knight Trilogy and Man of Steel. Syfy also promises that Krypton, which has been in development for a number of years now, will give us deeper insight into Kal-El’s enemies, including Brainiac and Doomsday, and more about the science of Superman’s homeworld.
It’s great to see the grim tone from Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel present here. It really captures the heart of the alien civilisation quite well and separates the show from pretty much any other superhero-related series out there. Also, it’s great to see the famous S-shaped Coat of arms of the House of El, which stands for hope, is present throughout.
