Helllooo Nurse! The Animaniacs Is Returning With The Original Voice Cast

In 2017 we shared the news about an Animaniacs revival or reboot series. The show’s creator, Jurassic Park director Steven Spielberg, was working hard on bringing the classic ‘90s animated cartoon series to a new generation of kids (and adults) in 2020. The good news is that the original voice cast is coming back to reprise their roles, including Rob Paulsen as Yakko, Tress MacNeille as Dot, and Jess Harnell as Wakko.

We are VERY pleased to finally see in PRINT today in @yakkopinky's "Voice Lessons" that the original voice cast of #Animaniacs has indeed been working on the upcoming reboot! 😁

The beloved show will find a new home on Hulu, who has already greenlit two seasons co-produced by Amblin TV and Warner Bros. Animation. The streaming service has also gained the streaming rights to all 99 episodes from the original.

“I am so pleased and proud that Animaniacs will have a home at Hulu,” Spielberg said in a news release. “Together with Warner Bros., we look to bring new audiences and longtime fans into this wild world of Yakko, Wakko, and Dot. I am also excited that the full library of Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures episodes are included in the deal.”

The new show’s synopsis reads:

The new Animaniacs centres on Warner brothers, Yakko and Wakko, and the Warner sister, Dot — three inseparable, irascible siblings who have a great time wreaking havoc and mayhem in the lives of everyone they meet. They have been locked away in the Warner Bros. water tower for a very long time, but they have found a way to escape. And escape they do — every day! Causing chaos and comic confusion, Yakko, Wakko and Dot run loose in the city, turning the world into their personal playground. Fan-favourite characters Pinky and the Brain will also return to make appearances in each episode.

I can already hear the show’s theme song playing through my mind. For those who forgot, here’s a reminder:
