Following on from the successful first season of The Grand Tour, which released in November 2016, Amazon Prime Video has revealed the first teaser footage for the upcoming second season.
Although there’s no official release date as yet for the show, indications are that it may possibly drop a little while before last year’s launch, based on the “just around the corner” tag in the video below. The footage, which gives viewers glimpses into the happenings throughout the season, where filming from the second series sees Jeremy, Richard and James in Mozambique, Switzerland and the UK.
The series received an inadvertent form of publicity when it was revealed that Richard Hammond was involved in a serious car crash during the filming of the series. The 47-year old was airlifted to hospital following the crash in the £2million super-car, the Rimac Concept One built in Croatia, where he was racing in St Gallen, Switzerland. Hammond was treated in hospital for a fractured knee.
Season one of The Grand Tour with Clarkson, Hammond, and May broke records when it released last year, as it became the biggest show premiere ever on Amazon Prime Video and has now been watched in over 200 countries and territories. The 3-series deal means that there is a minimum of two seasons left with the second releasing later this year.
