There were many who felt a little disappointed by the first Godzilla film. While it was fairly good, there wasn’t nearly enough of the giant creature. Thankfully, the second film, Godzilla: King Of The Monsters, delivers.
The world is a very different place after the events of the first film. The trailer kicks off with Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown fleeing a disaster on a rooftop while a scientist (Vera Farmiga) explains that there is a new threat. Several monsters appear and, of course, several cities get trampled along the way. It’s up to the film’s titular hero to save the day.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters, set to hit theatres on May 31st, 2019, is the second film in a shared universe. It’s meant to set up the third film, Godzilla vs. Kong (directed by Adam Wingard), arriving May 2020.
