In the last few years, M. Night Shyamalan hasn’t been receiving much praise for any of his latest films. In what was a dramatic return to form in 2017, the director received great reviews for the 2017 surprise hit Split.
Even better was the confirmation of the extension of his superhero universe we first saw with Unbreakable. This lead to an announcement that a third film would be released in January 2019, Glass. At a San Diego Comic-Con panel yesterday, Shyamalan revealed the first full trailer for the upcoming film. And, it’s epic!
The trailer reveals a number of new characters, including psychiatrist Dr Ellie Staple (Sarah Paulson), specialising in specific cases, in which she reveals “those individuals who believe they are superheroes”. The trailer finds the three main characters, David Dunn (Bruce Willis), Kevin Crumb (James McAvoy) and Mr Glass (Samuel L. Jackson), being addressed by Dr Staple in a psychiatric hospital under supervision for treatment.
Shyamalan, at the panel discussion, stated that Glass is the film that will bring the universe together for “the first fully grounded superhero movie.” The film is set to release on 18 January 2019.
Been a while since Bruce Willis made a good movie..looks promising
