During Blizzcon 2019, Blizzard Entertainment revealed Hearthstone: Descend of Dragons, a high-flying 135-card expansion for their smash-hit free-to-play digital card game, Hearthstone, with a cinematic trailer. At the same time, the studio also revealed Hearthstone: Battlegrounds, an 8-player auto-battler, in which players will recruit minions, strategically position them, and watch as they battle for supremacy.
Watch the trailers below and stand a chance to win one of three early access codes to Hearthstone: Battlegrounds (which ends on the 12th) but also gain access to Hearthstone: Descend of Dragons when it launches on the 10th.
Hatching on December 10, Hearthstone: Descend of Dragons, which is set within the Warcraft universe, is the epic conclusion to the turn-based collectible card game’s year-long storyline. In the latest expansion, players will be armed with draconic firepower — including the ability to transform into Galakrond, the mightiest dragon in Warcraft.
“We love constantly exploring new ideas with Hearthstone, from telling an epic year-long story to introducing fun new ways to play,” said J. Allen Brack, president of Blizzard Entertainment. “Descent of Dragons embodies that value—we think players will have a blast with all of the new cards as well as the new gameplay mechanics we’re introducing with this expansion.”
Hearthstone: Battlegrounds is a free game mode is designed as a standalone experience that uses Hearthstone as a foundation, but it does not require building or maintaining a card collection.
To stand a chance of winning a beta code for Battlegrounds (and later the Hearthstone: Descend of Dragons expansion), all you need to do is let us know what you love about the franchise (in the comments section below).

Simplicity and great attention to detail
What I like the most about hearthstone is that it is simple, mind engaging and very fun game. It encourages creativity and decision-making. I like that I have options to play it differently every time. I can create fun and ridiculous combos or play most powerful decks in meta as I please.
I love all the fun I can have with friends at the pc or at my mobile, it’s a really good game for the laughs, also all the art and voice acting, amazing
I love the single player campaigns the most. Blizzard have created a solid free to play card game when so many other companies have failed.
Blizzard introduced me to the world of PC gaming. The first game I ever played on PC was WarCraft, I then graduated to StarCraft and Diablo.
Now I play all the games in their franchise, including Heroes of the Storm and Hearthstone.
Hearthstone is my favourite, it’s fun and quick if you just want to have a short game. The best part for me is trying to complete the card collections for the different characters.
ITS BRAIN WRECKING

I love how simple the game is and all the lore behind it (from World of Warcraft). It’s an easy game where you can play a game fast (even on your phone). There are lots of mechanics in the game, and sometimes there is a bit of luck involved in winning, which makes it fun as you never know what will happen.
Thank you for the competition!
Exciting new adventure!
What I love about the franchise is that Hearthstone has been her for a while now; they listen to the community. If something is overpowered, they usually nerf it. I can say that a lot of the people working for Blizzard probably care about what they put into their work, so that they make the players happy. I also enjoy the fact that this game is free. I barely ever spend money on this game to have fun. This is one of the best games ever created, and there is a community of around 100 million dedicated fans, which I think is just astonishing. What Blizzard has done is too good. Their cut-scenes seem more silly than ever, but I still like them. I know that Hearthstone will keep up the good work. Good job to all others commenting! ;)

A very unique combination of great wit and humor as well as genuine strategy. The animation blends the components together with a fun result
Being able to fully immerse yourself in the lore, the wittiness and snarkiness of it all – it makes playing so much more fun!
My favorite thing about not even just hearthstone but Blizzard all together is how they have been interweaving their games throughout the years. It gives little easter eggs here and there they you dont quite get unless youve played the other games, making them that much more enjoyable. I have also never found anything with as much replayablility as these games be it hearthstone, diablo, wow etc..
MY GRANDSON LOVES NEW GAMES & PICKSUP QUICKLY LOVES CHALENGES
