Bandai Namco has revealed some great news: one of the characters we were hoping would be added to the SoulCalibur 6 roster is officially being included in the game. Geralt The White Wolf, the protagonist of CD Projekt Red’s Witcher games, will be a playable fighter in the upcoming SoulCalibur game.
According to the statement, Geralt will have his own unique fighting style and will be able to use a combination of swords, ability enhancing potions and, of course, combat magic. Bandai Namco also revealed that CD Projekt Red shared the original assets, including animations and models, from the third Witcher game so that they could faithfully re-create The White Wolf. The original English voice actor, Doug Cockle, will also be reprising his role as the voice of Geralt. Along with the inclusion of the iconic music track from the games, Hunt or be Hunted, there will be a signature stage in the game based on the Witcher‘s training ground.
Previous SoulCalibur games have included Link (from the Legend of Zelda series), Spawn, Darth Vader, Yoda and even Ezio (from the Assassin’s Creed series). Fans were expecting Bandai Namco to include a fighter from a popular franchise and Geralt seems like a perfect fit.
