The PlayStation 5 is here, and with it comes the future of gaming. However, with the current economic client, not many are able to afford the next-gen console. We could all do with a friend like this.
The world of online gaming is magical for various reasons. It’s like a mini-vacation from real life and, in some instances, you get to meet people who become your closest friends.
With a new generation of consoles available, cross-platform gaming makes it’s easier than ever to stay in touch with all your gaming buddies. But to keep those good times going, you will have to own one of those consoles.
That’s why, when Reddit user ghost_knight1121 realised his gaming buddy of 15 years wasn’t able to get the highly coveted PlayStation 5, he stepped in and bought one for him.
In a post on Reddit, he said…
“Been gaming with this dude for 15 years. Since Rainbow Six Vegas on 360. I have some good gaming memories with him. He tried but couldn’t get one. Little did he know I was able to get him one. Looking forward to playing another generation with him.”
He also commemorated the special moment with a photo of himself and his friend, holding the PlayStation 5.
When users on the discussion board asked what prompted such a generous act, ghost_knight1121 explained that he has gone on many incredible adventures with his friend over the years – both virtual and otherwise. They’ve also been each other’s best man at their respective weddings, proving that video games can forge real friendships.
Sony’s PlayStation 5 consoles are currently available in most countries and will begin shipping in the U.K on November 19th. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series X/S is already available around the world.

Whichever console you choose, remember to have a great time with your friends because that’s what gaming is really about.
