We’ve had a number of LEGO movies. We’ve had movies based on the popular Trolls toys. Now, it’s time for the popular Funko! toys to shine. Warner’s next toy-based project will be a Funko! movie based on the vinyl figurines and bobblehead phenomenon.

According to SuperBroMovies writer Daniel Richtman, there is currently a live-action/animated hybrid in development and will feature a number of fan-favourite characters, including Wonder Woman, Hellboy, Deadpool, Hello Kitty, Harley Quinn, and Darth Vader, to name a few.
When you consider Warner’s success with 2014’s The LEGO Movie and 2017’s The LEGO Batman Movie, it makes perfect sense for the studio to expand their vision to include more toy franchises. Funko Inc. seems like the perfect fit, especially since the company holds so many different licenses.
Funko was founded as a bobblehead company in 1998 by Mike Becker in his Snohomish, Washington home. Since 2005, the company has increased the scope of its various toy lines, and has signed licensing deals with companies such as Marvel, DC Comics, WWE, Lucasfilm, Sony Pictures, Paramount Pictures, and Nickelodeon, to name a few.
When you consider that this is possibly the only platform where we’ll see Wonder Woman, Hellboy, Darth Vader and Deadpool interacting together on screen, a Funko! movie sounds like a geek’s dream come true.
