If you grew up in the ’80s, you might recall the old He-Man figures. You know, those buff stout toys that made your small G.I Joes tremble in fear? Well, now Funko toys have released a new line of DC figures inspired by those Masters Of The Universe toys called DC Comics Primal Age.
The DC Comics Primal Age toy line from Funko reimagines some of our favourite DC characters as oversized barbaric warriors. As Funko puts it, the figures exist in a “brutal, barbaric world ruled by ferocious warriors”.
The line includes heroes such as Wonder Woman, Batman, Aquaman and Green Lantern each wielding a suitably barbaric weapon. Naturally, where you find a hero you will find a bunch of villains. These include the Joker, Scarecrow, Mr Freeze and King Shark.
Both the Batman and Joker figures each also have an oversized Battle Cat-inspired mounts in the form of Ace the Bathound and The Joker Beast.
There is also a Bat Cave which shares more than just a passing resemblance to Castle Greyskull.
The DC Comics Primal Age toy line is exclusively being sold through Amazon and will retail for around $11.99, with the mounts coming in at $24.99 and the Bat Cave at $69.99.
