We all know the classic fairytale story of Hansel and Gretel. But we’ve never seen it like this before.
Directed by Oz Perkins (The Blackcoat’s Daughter) and starring IT‘s Sophia Lillis as Gretel and Samuel Leaky as Hansel, Gretel And Hansel is set to forever change the way you look at the gingerbread house.
The film follows Gretel and her younger brother who leave home during a time of pestilence and famine. On their travels, they encounter a kindly huntsman (Charles Babalola) before finding solace in the home of an elderly woman (Alice Krige) whose motives may not be altogether pure.
The poster that launched yesterday depicts a house in the dark woods, with a lone shadowy figure standing in the door.
There’s been a lot of good horror films out this year. You can bet that this will be another one – although it’s only being released early next year. The music score, the actors, the visuals, the camera work and the setting all lend itself to be one of the scariest films the genre has to offer.
So now centuries old stories are being regurgitated as SJW filth.
I prefer the original title “Hansel and Gretel.”
Nothing is sacred. It’s a shame that any traditional, halfway decent story has to get sicked up by these racist, sexist SJW Nazis. I did a doubletake when I saw the name of this movie on IMDB. First thought was “it’s gonna be garbage”. If politics drives the story it *WILL* be filth. You’re spot on.
