Amazon Prime has given us our first look at their upcoming live-action TV series The Tick in an awesome new trailer.
Based on a 1986 spoof of comic book superheroes, The Tick follows the adventures of a bumbling blue costumed superhero called The Tick. Along with his sidekick Arthur, they set out to fight the never-ending battle between the good and the not-so-good.
The comic was originally adapted into an animated series back in 1994 and then later in 2001 into a live-action sitcom starring Patrick Warburton as the titular hero.
The Amazon Prime series will star Peter Serafinowicz as The Tick and Griffin Newman as his sidekick Arthur. The series is being produced by Ben Edlund, Barry Josephson and Barry Sonnenfeld with Wally Pfister serving as director.
Part one of the first season will be available on the 25th of August. Part two will be released in early 2018.
