Finnish superhero film Rendel has an epic new trailer and it is dark, gritty and awesome. Just like a Batman film.
Based on a character created by director Jesse Haaja 15 years ago, the masked avenger Rendel is described as “somewhat darker than the traditional representatives of the (superhero) genre” and “is a story of a man blinded by his desire for revenge and hatred”. After you watch the trailer, you will definitely want to see the film.
A dark avenger is born when a worldwide corporation known as VALA launches an untested vaccine called Nh25 into the market by bribing, threatening, and killing every official opposing them. Rendel unleashes his own special kind of hell against VALA, threatening to put an end the distribution of Nh25 As blood spills and the money burns, VALA recruits a group of mercenaries to do what they seemingly can’t, eliminate Rendel permanently. The first superhero film from Finland, RENDEL, is based on the comic book character created by director, Jesse Haaja.
Rendel stars Kris Gummerus, Rami Rusinen, Matti Onnismaa, Alina Tomnikov, Aake Kalliala, Sami Huhtala, Marko Pesonen, and Minna Nevanoja.

Rendel outdates the Flash tv-show version of Zoom by a year at least, even more probably since Haaja created him before the movie project was going to happen.
