Far Cry 6 has leaked via the PlayStation Store. The upcoming game will release on next-gen consoles in February 2021.
The Far Cry 6 leak comes ahead of Sunday’s planned Ubisoft Froward Event, which is when many expect the publisher to officially reveal the game.
According to the listing on the PlayStation Store, the game will be set on the island of Yara and will see The Mandalorian and Breaking Bad actor Giancarlo Esposito playing the part of the game’s antagonist.
This corresponds to Esposito’s recent hint that he was voicing a character in a very big gaming franchise. Yara seems to be heavily inspired by Cuba, with the game’s description stating that this is the “largest Far Cry playground to date”.
It also states that players will once again be able to craft makeshift weapons and employ the help of animal friends, as seen in the previous game.
The listing also mentions that PlayStation 4 copies of the game will upgrade for free if you play the game on a PlayStation 5, which one can expect will be the same in the case of Microsft’s next-gen console, the Xbox Series X.
