This fan poster for Tom Holland’s next MCU Spidey movie, the untitled Spider-Man 4 film, imagines what the world might look like after the events of No Way Home. Spider-Man is seen alone in his brand-new suit. And since everyone has forgotten who Peter Parker is, thanks to Doctor Strange’s spell, the title Spider-Man: Web of Memories (which isn’t official) makes perfect sense too.
While there’s no official news regarding the filming of Spider-Man 4 yet, fans have already begun to speculate on which villains and characters will show up in the sequel. When you consider just how big an event Spider-Man: No Way Home was, it’s going to take something special to top the record-breaking film.
But tmy_arts‘ fan poster has the right ideas for Spider-Man 4. For one, there’s no Iron Man tech (so our favourite neighbourhood Web-head is finally out of Tony Stark’s massive shadow). Instead, Peter is just wearing his homemade suit.
Also, Spider-Man is completely alone — which is different from all the other posters where Marvel usually places all the faces of the characters (including the villains) involved.
No, Spider-Man 4 (which is likely still far off) will be a new beginning for Peter and this fan-made poster artwork does well to express that idea.
And even though we still believe Ned Leeds will return as a villain (maybe Hobgoblin, maybe Venom) at some point, it’s important that the next Spider-Man film allows the web-slinger to grow on his own – independent of Happy, MJ, Ned and all the other Avengers too. He has to become the Spider-Man from the comics. In other words, more like Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men.
Another production to watch for possible more clues on the future of the franchise is Sony’s Madame Web, with Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney on board to star. While it probably won’t feature actor Tom Holland, it is likely that the characters will share screentime in the future — perhaps even as a new love interest for Peter.
And until we get an official title, Spider-Man: Web of Memories will do. Sony and Marvel Studios, please take note. This is a good option for the next movie and the beginning of the new Spider-Man trilogy.
It needs to have the word “home” in it
Otherwise, it’s super dope I like it
