The Discovery Channel has an awesome new four-part series that involves Back to The Future‘s Christopher Lloyd hunting down modified DMC-12 DeLoreans with Expedition Unknown host Josh Gates. The trailer for Expedition Back to the Future shows their hilarious journey across America to Los Angeles, New York, Orlando and Houston to find the vehicles used in the classic 1985 movie.
Tell me doctor, where are we going this time?
Starting March 15 on Discovery Plus, Expedition Back to the Future will reunite several co-stars from the Back To The Future franchise as Christopher Lloyd, who played Dr Emmett “Doc” Brown in the popular ’80s films, searches for six different versions of the DeLorean “time machines” used in the movies.
While the primary car used in the film is currently on display at the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, there remains six other versions of the iconic vehicle. It’s up to Lloyd and Gates to find one worthy to be auctioned off by the Michael J. Fox for the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
Who else can we expect to see in Expedition Back to the Future?
The series will include guest appearances from Michael J. Fox (who played Marty McFly), Lea Thompson (who played Lorraine McFly), Donald Fullilove (Mayor Goldie Wilson), Jokes Tolkan (Principal Strickland), and Harry Waters Jr. (Marvin Berry).
Basically, it’s the closest thing to a Back to the Future sequel involving the original cast that you’re going to get.
The series will also include a number of interviews with experts, collectors, and, of course, the biggest fans of the movie.
But, boy, does it look fun. What the trailer for Expedition Back to the Future below.
