With many publishers already releasing their own launcher apps, it was only a matter of time before developer Rockstar jumped aboard the bandwagon.
The Rockstar app will make many of their games available for purchase, including L.A Noire, Bully: Scholarship Edition and several of the Grand Theft Auto games. As an added bonus, if you download the launcher now, you will also get a free copy of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
The launcher will also scan your PC for any games from the developer and pull them into the app, giving you the ability to run all your Rockstar games from one central hub. Along with this, the app links your Rockstar Social Club account to cloud saves and even auto-updates your gaming titles.
Rockstar isn’t the only company who has released their own launcher apps. Electronic Arts, Ubisoft and Bethesda each have their won launchers for their titles.
Hopefully, the release of the launcher means that the developer will be releasing a PC port of Red Dead Redemption 2 soon as this would be a great way to get those who don’t own the game yet to use the launcher. Of course, this will also be more profitable for the developer than if the port was released on a different digital store.
