When Bethesda announced that Doom would be heading to the Nintendo Switch, many fans found themselves cautiously excited at the prospect. Well, it seems that the game might be exactly what many had hoped it would be.
Recently the folks at Gamespot got to try out Doom on the Nintendo Switch using the systems portable setup. Not only does the game look good, but it seems to mostly run at a smooth 30 frames per second. This, of course, is quite important as precision and speed plays a huge role when trying to kill demons and monsters. While many might complain that the 30 fps is slower than the Xbox One and PS4’s 60fps, the fact that it seems to run so smooth, and still looks surprisingly good, is a testament to what Nintendo’s little console is capable of.
Personally, I can’t think of anything better than playing Doom on the go.
