Some might have missed the announcement at E3 this year, but a Blair Witch game is coming out soon.
The Blair Witch game is based on the 1999 film, The Blair Witch Project. The film was a surprising success and even had a sequel we dare not speak of.
Of course, this isn’t the first time that there will be a game released based on the film but this one seems to be the most ambitious. Developer Bloober Team’s game takes place two years after the events of the original film. Naturally, it is a first-person horror game and sees the player assuming the role of a former cop called Ellis who joins the search for a missing boy. Ellis in’s alone though as he will be joined by his fellow canine companion Bullet. Of course, things aren’t always as they seem as the forset the boy got lost in is haunted by the curse of the Blair Witch.
The developers have set out to make the environment just as much of a threat as the enemies. The game promises to be a psychological horror game you won’t soon forget.
