There have been many rumours doing the rounds that Diablo III would be heading to the Nintendo Switch one of these days, and now it’s finally been confirmed.
The news that Diablo III would be coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year leaked before the official reveal. It was revealed via a post on Forbes (which has since been deleted) that the critically acclaimed action RPG would be coming out on the Nintendo Switch. The release is said to include the original game, the Reaper of Souls expansion, the Rise of the Necromancer Pack and all the updates for the game thus far. Better yet, it will feature offline local co-op with up to four players playing together on a single Switch or four connected Switches. This is good news as we’ve been waiting for a great local co-op RPG to grace Nintendo’s console and can’t wait to take on the forces of Hell along with a few friends.
Along with all the expansion packs and updates, the game will also include an exclusive Ganondorf-themed armour set, a Tri-Force portrait frame and some other goodies from the Legend of Zelda.
Diablo III originally released on PC way back in 2012 after which it arrived on the PlayStation 3 and 4 as well as the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. While a release date hasn’t officially been revealed, it is speculated that the game will appear on the Nintendo Switch later this year.
