With excitement reaching fever pitch, Destiny fans have been anxiously waiting for any new news regarding Destiny 2. Now, finally, we get to see who players will be facing when the game launches.
The Destiny 2 trailer introduces us to the game’s main villain, a character named Ghaul. Ghaul leads a force known as the Red Legion in an attack on the Tower. Unfortunately, even though the Guardians fought valiantly the Tower is destroyed. So, essentially, as Cayde-6 so elegantly puts it “Everything is gone. Your stuff. Most importantly, my stuff.”. This basically means that as confirmed by Bungie, players will be starting with a clean slate.
Humanity’s last safe city has fallen to an overwhelming invasion force led by Ghaul, the imposing commander of the brutal Red Legion. He has stripped the city’s Guardians of their power and forced the survivors to flee. You will venture to mysterious, unexplored worlds of our solar system to discover an arsenal of weapons and devastating new combat abilities. To defeat the Red Legion and confront Ghaul, you must reunite humanity’s scattered heroes, stand together, and fight back to reclaim our home.
