With Hideo Kojima‘s highly anticipated game, Death Stranding, releasing next month, we’ve been finding out more and more about this mysterious title. The latest tidbit is that BB, the game’s jar baby, will be able to speak through the DualShock 4 controller.
Kojima revealed that the jar baby (BB) from Death Stranding will be able to communicate with the player through the DualShock 4 controller’s speaker in a Tweet showing off the special edition PS4 console and controller for the game.
This is a feature we’ve seen some games use before and it is a feature that helps a player feel more immersed in a game. One thing that is unclear is whether this functionality applies to all DualShock 4 controllers or just the one that comes with the special edition.

The Death Stranding special edition PS4 Pro bundle comes with a 1TB console featuring the black handprints synonymous with the game as well as a yellow clear plastic controller styled similarly to the jar BB resides in. It also has the game’s title printed on the touchpad.
Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima’s first game since leaving Konami, launches for the PlayStation 4 on the 8th of November. In just over a month, we’ll finally get our hands on the game.
