Batman actor Val Kilmer surprised fans when he announced on social media that Warner Bros. have requested his appearance at the upcoming DC FanDome, a virtual convention event. Could this be to announce the rumoured Schumacher Cut or is the Batman Forever actor involved with the upcoming Flash movie?
Over the last few months, news of a darker 170-minute cut of the Batman Forever has surfaced, with fans petitioning HBO Max to release the longer version of the film. Many believe this extended cut showed Joel Schumacher‘s true vision for the Batman franchise, which was altered by Warner Bros. to sell more toys.
Like the Snyder Cut before it, fans have started polls and requests to the studio to release Schumacher Cut.
I have it on VERY good authority that a 170-minute cut of Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever exists. Warner Bros. is unsure if there's any hunger for what was described to me as a "much darker, more serious" version. So, should WB #ReleaseThe20000Cut?

The other possible reason for Val Kilmer’s involvement might be the DCEU’s Flash film, which has already recruited Michael Keaton to return as an older Batman. Could Val Kilmer have struck a similar deal and see his version of the Caped Crusader return too? It’s not impossible.
With the Flash film possibly journeying across time and space to parallel universes, we might see DC tie in all their past films, which includes Batman Forever. This ultimately means we could see multiple Batman actors share the screen.
