DC’s virtual showcase, DC FanDome, gave fans a look at some of the most anticipated movies in the world of superheroes and games. But don’t worry if you missed it – we’ve got a breakdown of the most popular, talked about trailers right here.
Wonder Woman 1984
Gal Gadot returns as our favourite Amazonian superhero in Wonder Woman 1984, but this time the action moves from World War I to the vibrant 1980s.
The second trailer gives fans a look at Kristen Wiig as the supervillain, Cheetah. Remember, Barbara Minerva and Diana Prince start out as friends – but Minerva eventually turns evil and takes on the persona of Cheetah.
We also get to see some retro fashion, and a scene where Wonder Woman does battle with Cheetah (in what looks like the White House).
Wonder Woman 1984 is currently scheduled for releases on October 2, 2020.
Warner Bros Games Montreal has officially announced Gotham Knights for 2021.
It’s due out on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Xbox One. The title is an open-world single-player and co-op action role-playing game starring playable Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin.
The story follows the adventures of the quartet who must protect Gotham, following the apparent death of Bruce Wayne.
Warner Bros. also debuted the game’s trailer during the DC Fandome event.
The Suicide Squad
Our favorite villains are back for James Gunn’s Suicide Squad sequel.
During DC Fandome, the director shared some cool new footage from the movie and it looks pretty amazing!
The story begins when Amanda Waller reassembles the Squad and sends them on a mission to liberate a South American country.
Speaking about the movie Gunn said, “The action is great, it’s funny, and it’s really dramatic in the right places.” He also said that this was the “greatest cast I’ve ever worked with by far.”
The Suicide Squad cast includes John Cena, Jai Courtney, Joaquín Cosío, Joel Kinnaman, Maylin Ng, Flula Borg, Juan Deigo Botto, Storm Reid, Pete Davidson, Taika Waititi, Alice Brage, Tinashe Kajese, Daniela Melchior, Peter Capaldi, Julio Ruiz, Jennifer Holland, Viola Davis, Idris Elba, and Margot Robbie.
Will Smith will not be returning as Deadshot, and Jared Leto won’t be returning as Joker.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
At DC Fandome, Rocksteady Studios, the team behind the beloved Batman: Arkham games finally revealed their upcoming DC game.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a new action game starring the infamous supervillain team.

According to the teaser, the game will be launching on in 2022 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League
The release of Zack Snyder’s version of the Justice League was one of the most talked-about events in the world of comic book movies. And the first full trailer did not disappoint!
Set to a cover of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, the footage follows the team as individuals until they ultimately unite. The movie is said to have a much darker tone than the original and will be released on HBO Max in four one-hour instalments.
Snyder also assured fans that they are working on a distribution plan for countries where HBO Max isn’t available.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be available on HBO Max in 2021, but there’s no specific date yet.
If you were worried about Robert Pattinson becoming Batman, this trailer will ease your fears. The actor commands attention and his voice fits in perfectly with the role.
The DC Fandome first-look trailer has a bit of everything too, the Batsuit, Catwoman, Gotham in all its noir glory, and the Caped Crusader declaring that he is “the vengeance”.
But the footage ultimately focuses on The World’s Greatest Detective investigating a murder mystery as an unknown figure taunts The Dark Knight through a series of deadly messages, cryptic or otherwise.
The Batman is set to hit theaters on October 1, 2021.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is set to star as the DC Comics anti-hero Black Adam in a film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra.
The DC FanDome panel presented concept art of what fans can expect from the Shazam spin-off.
In the first teaser, we got to see Black Adam’s costume, the film’s logo and a bit of the story.
Black Adam is scheduled to open December 22, 2021.
