Square Enix has revealed that Lara will be heading out on a new adventure in the upcoming Shadow Of The Tomb Raider: The Nightmare DLC, which will be released this month.
The Shadow Of The Tomb Raider: The Nightmare DLC forms the third part of the game’s season pass and will be releasing on the 22nd of January 2019. While not much is known about the new DLC, beyond Lara probably having to face off against some new supernatural forces, Square Enix did release a press release giving us some insight into what the DLC would offer.
It states that The Nightmare will see Lara journeying into her past as she comes face to face with fallen friends and familiar enemies. As predicted, Lara needs to once again obtain a powerful artefact/weapon. Lara will be exploring a brand new challenge tomb, battling new foes who might seem familiar and, finally, she will have to confront her deadliest enemy yet, herself.

The team also tweeted a creepy motion image of Lara, who appears to be exploring some kind of graveyard near Croft Manor.
Shadow Of The Tomb Raider: The Nightmare DLC will also include the new Fear Incarnate gear pack, which, according to the description, is crafted from thick hides and solid bones, offering Lara even more protection. The Grip of Fear is a climbing axe made specifically for fighting and making sure your enemies don’t get up.
It’s great to see Square Enix continuing to support Shadow Of The Tomb Raider well after it’s launch.
