Electronic Arts released a trailer for the upcoming Command & Conquer Remastered Collection, which also reveals the game’s release date.
The remaster will include a bunch of new features to bring the classic collection of games into the modern era, including a new UI, improved controls and even glorious 4K support. Of course, the improvements will also extend to the games multiplayer with a new Map editor and better matchmaking. Composer Frank Klepacki will also be remastering the game’s original soundtrack.
The set will include both Command & Conquer: Tiberium Dawn and Command & Conquer: Red Alert, and all their expansions.
It seems that Electronic Arts spent allot of time on listening to fans-requests and making sure that the remasters not only improved on the original games but also stayed true to the original releases.
The game will feature a Special Edition that will include a Tiberium Crystal USB pre-loaded with the soundtrack, pins, a poster tech tree prints for each faction and a bunch of stickers. There will also be a 25th Anniversary Edition which will include everything from the Special Edition as well as a signed six-disc set of the original game’s soundtrack, a 100-page art book, faction patches, a beanie, a PVC light and a metal Mammoth Tank replica.
We still have fond memories of playing the original games and judging from what Electronic Arts have revealed this remaster might just do the classics justice.
