Alongside releasing two new gameplay trailers for their highly anticipated next game, Cyberpunk 2077, which shows off some of the game’s prologue, CD Project Red has announced an upcoming Netflix series based on the game.
The first trailer, called”‘The Gig”, sees the player character called V taking part in a heist. The job is to grab a brand new biochip from one of the game’s corporations. Of course, as these heists tend to go, there are loads of bullets flying and blood spattering.
The second Cyberpunk 2077 trailer, titled “Braindance gameplay demo”, shows how gamers will be able to use the technology at their disposal to enter another character’s memories, similar to how Batman used detective mode in Batman: Arkham Origins.
This means that players will have access to clues and information about past events which they can use to their advantage, scanning through these memories at will. Basically, this will allow gamers to become a futuristic Sherlock Holmes of sorts.
What is noticeable in both these trailers is just how gorgeous and detailed the environments are. There is little doubt that CD Project Red spent a lot of time making sure that the game world feels real.
Alongside the release of the two trailers, the developer also announced a new Cyberpunk 2077 anime series which will debut on Netflix. Not much more was revealed beyond the series title, Cyberpunk: Edge runners.
CD Project Red did, however, promise to reveal more in the next few weeks.
