EA has released a new trailer for Battlefield 1‘s first expansion, They Shall Not Pass.
The They Shall Not Pass trailer reveals that the expansion will be available on the 14th of March for Premium Pass holders and two weeks later for the rest of the Battlefield 1 players. The expansion adds four new maps, two new tanks, the super-heavy Char 2C and the St. Chamond, a new elite class called the Trench Raider and the Siege Howitzer stationary weapon.
Similar to previous entries in the series, Battlefield 1 is a first-person shooter that emphasizes teamwork. The game is set in the period of World War I, and is inspired by historic events. Players can make use of World War I weapons, including bolt-action rifles, automatic and semi-automatic rifles, artillery, flamethrowers, and mustard gas to combat opponents.Melee combat was reworked, with DICE introducing new melee weapons such as sabres, trench clubs, and shovels into the game. These melee weapons were divided into three groups: heavy, medium and light. Players can also take control of various armored vehicles. Destructible environments and weapon customization, features present in the previous games, returned in Battlefield 1 and are more dynamic.
The expansion is the first one released for the World War I shooter and seems players will have quite a lot too look forward too.
