There have been countless rumours that Batman: Arkham trilogy developer RockSteady might be working on a new Superman game. However, thanks to a post on the WB Montreal Facebook page, the studio responsible for the underrated Batman: Arkham Origins seems to be working on a new DC game. Could this be the rumoured new Batman: Arkham or even Justice League game?
While details about the new WB Montreal game are scarce and mostly just rumours, a new job listing on the developer’s Facebook page seems to once again confirm that they are working on a new DC game. The post on the official WB Games Montreal Facebook page indicates that the developer is looking for a Technical Director to lead their team on an unnamed project. The post also reveals that this person will be working on “expanding the DC universe in the interactive space”. Of course, this could mean that the project is still in its early stage since a Technical Director forms an integral part of the development process.
Earlier this year, rumours started to surface that the developer was working on a new prequel Batman Arkham game that would take place after the events of Batman: Arkham Origins. We covered some of these rumours in our “Everything we know about the new Batman game” article.
Although I would love to see a new Arkham game being released, I think it’s time that Batman shares the limelight with some of his fellow superheroes.
