According to a new report, co-director Joe Russo has confirmed that Avengers: Endgame will feature the final cameo by the late Stan Lee. This means that the film will not only be the final chapter in Marvel series, but will also feature the end of its franchise’s cameo tradition.
“It’s his last one committed to film,” Russo told Mashable. While there were rumours that Lee filmed several more, including a cameo recorded for Spider-Man: Far from Home, it seems that isn’t the case.
“We have all these movie stars on that set, and when Stan came to set, everybody would be like kids again,” he said. “It was always a lot of fun shooting these cameos because he was very charming, and he would maybe get the crew going, and everybody would be laughing and having a good time.”

Over the last few decades, Lee cameoed in every film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sadly, late last year, on the 12th November, the world lost comic book legend Stan Lee, whose brief performances as random characters in the film became a beloved tradition.
That said, there could possibly be other ways in which Marvel pays homage to Stan Lee, who is partly responsible for dreaming up many of the famous superheroes.
Fans of the MCU should prepare themselves to say another heartfelt goodbye to the comic book creator when Avengers: Endgame releases on 26 April 2019.
