After getting dropped kicked by a crazed fan in South Africa last week, 71-year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger is back with the release of the new Terminator: Dark Fate trailer.
It’s probably fair to say that none of the T2 sequels have lived up to the standard set by James Cameron. Since his hiatus from the franchise, the films have gone from bad to worst. In fact, the last film, 2015’s Terminator Genisys, scored a very low 26% on Rotten Tomatoes. Now, with Linda Hamilton returning, Cameron in the producer’s seat and revisiting the most popular elements of the original two movies, we might finally get the time-travelling killer robot saga we deserve. Deadpool director Tim Miller takes the reigns as director and hopes to steer the franchise back on track with more “judgment”.
The new trailer shows a new robot fighting against a new threat, which looks like a combination between the T-800 and the T-1000. It’s not long before the T-800 and Sarah Connor show up to help.
Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (T-800) return in their iconic roles in Terminator: Dark Fate, directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool) and produced by visionary filmmaker James Cameron and David Ellison. Following the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the film also stars Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta.
