We get our first look at a more serious Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Aftermath trailer.
Arnold Schwarzenegger takes centre stage in a film inspired by actual events. Aftermath tells a story of guilt and revenge after an air traffic controller’s error causes the death of a construction foreman’s wife and daughter.
The trailer makes this film look like more of a grown-up thriller than your usual Schwarzenegger action movie. After zombie-thriller Maggie, it seems the former Governer is trying out his acting chops on more serious roles. Here he plays a regular, muscle-bound man out for vengeance. You have to admit, there’s something inherently compelling about seeing him play emotional and vulnerable characters.
Two strangers’ lives become inextricably bound together after a devastating plane crash. Inspired by actual events, AFTERMATH tells a story of guilt and revenge after an air traffic controller’s (Scoot McNairy) error causes the death of a construction foreman’s (Arnold Schwarzenegger) wife and daughter.
Originally titled 478, the Darren Aronofsky-produced Aftermath features Arnold Schwarzenegger (Terminator Genisys, The Expendables 3), Scoot McNairy (Our Brand Is Crisis, 12 Years A Slave), and Maggie Grace (The Taken Series, Lockout). The film is scheduled for an April 7th release. It’ll also be made available on On Demand.
