Warner Bros. have released the first trailer for the next DC animated movie following Superman: Red Son, Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, the sequel to 2017’s Justice League Dark.
The film’s trailer, via IGN, promises a line-up that includes an impressive amount of superheroes, including Superman, Constantine, Raven, and many more. Together they must fight a grand battle against Darkseid and his army of Doomsday Parademons.
But the heroes have their work cut out for them. It’s not going to be easy. In fact, we’re guessing that this instalment might have repercussions for the entire franchise moving forward. Maybe we’ll see a reboot. Maybe we’ll continue into a Rebirth storyline. Either way, the DCAU will never be the same again.
Justice League Dark: Apokolips War is rated R and is directed by Matt Peters and Christina Sotta with a voice cast including Jerry O’Connell as Superman, Matt Ryan as Constantine, Taissa Farmiga as Raven, Jason O’Mara as Batman, Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman, Shemar Moore as Cyborg, Christopher Gorham as The Flash, Rebecca Romijn as Lois Lane, Rainn Wilson as Lex Luthor, Stuart Allan as Robin/Damian Wayne, Camilla Luddington as Zatanna, Ray Chase as Jason Blood/Etrigan, Roger R. Cross as both John Stewart and Swamp Thing, Liam McIntyre as Captain Boomerang, Sachie Alessio as Lady Shiva, Hynden Walch as Harley Quinn, and John DiMaggio as King Shark.
