EA has released a new trailer for the upcoming FIFA 19. This time focusing on the game’s narrative.
The latest FIFA 19 story trailer sees Alex Hunter returning. Players will not only be controlling Hunter, but EA has revealed that two new characters (Danny Williams and Kim Hunter) will form part of the game’s story. What we do know of these two new protagonists is that Danny is an ex-teammate of Alex and basically his rival and Kim is an American soccer player who wants to compete for her country in the World Cup. As can be expected, the narrative will see the personal stories intertwining with players being able to switch between each of them. It’s great to see EA investing in the game’s story and trying to evolve it into something emotional and meaningful.
Of course, the game will also be building upon the mechanics that came before and trying to give players an even more realistic experience; one that is as close to the real thing while still being fun. We’ll see updated visuals, physics and a new mode or two when the game releases.
FIFA 19 is set for release in September 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC with EA Access and Origin Acess members being able to play the game earlier.
