A few months back, adidas Original launched the rebooted ZX 2K Boost, combining both past and future into the sneaker. Following the successful drop in May, the brand is set to drop two additional colourways to the range.
The original ZX series was launched in 1984 and has been the cutting edge of running shoe design ever since. adidas Originals has had a continuous push for combining a forward-thinking aesthetic with the very best tech with the new ZX 2K Boost. This is the ethos of the ZX, as it has always stood out as an innovator of the Originals family. The latest updates sees the distinctive language of the ZX series with two other groundbreaking chapters in 3-Stripes history, creating the squishiest ZX to date.
The ZX 2K BOOST sneakers fuses elements from the original ZX series with the updated Boost™ technology that was designed with satisfaction over logic. The modernised ZX style is the primary focus, enhanced by unexpected technical details that push the series into the future. The new squishiness design has elevated comfort and satisfaction, taking the lead from the layered designs from previous ZX models.
The sneaker’s upper is crafted from engineered mesh with welded overlays and a tongue-free step-in construction ensuring a comfortable ankle fit. The jagged design combines a more technical lacing system for an updated aesthetic. The ZX 2K Boost features an updated BOOST™ midsole brings the ultimate squish. To round off the update are the two distinct colourways. The first sneaker is featured in a solar yellow and hi-res red with the second in white and violet pink.
The next chapter of ZX 2K BOOST will drop on 1 August 2020 with prices starting from R2,299.
The sneakers will be available for purchase online at adidas.co.za, as well as at adidas Originals stores across the country.
