A little over two weeks ago, inspired by Germany’s elite tactical police unit known as the GSG 9, adidas Originals successfully launched the Atric Pack. The pack features a utilitarian-designed runner, as well as hightop boot styling. The company has now also released a new Adventure Support Pack, featuring some of the stylings and inspirations from the Atric Pack.
The adidas Originals brand continues to push the boundaries with their latest aesthetics on the Adventure Support Pack with their vibrant colours, and outdoor-inspired energy blocking collection. The pack features a mix of silhouettes, with five directly inspired from the Atric, each of which has been engineered and build for the outdoors. Again, the design team has focused on the development of reliable weather protection elements, with each detail being designed to ensure maximum protection, comfort and style. The range features a mix of coated circular knits, sculpted knit executions, weather resistance linings, and various technical detail.
The full list of offerings includes the recently released, Tubular Doom, the NMD_XR1, the EQT Support ADV, the Forum Hi, the Seeulater iteration, as well as an Adventure pack silhouette. While the sneakers based on existing releases, each of the silhouettes have a unique design over the originals, which include extended primeknit socks and high tops and weather resistant materials.
adidas Originals South Africa launched a campaign which sees the inclusion of the Adventure Support Pack alongside the Atric Pack and commissioned publisher and creative director of Bubblegum Club, Jamal Nxedlana, to conceptualise a local lookbook. The lookbook includes a narrative exploring the idea of an Urban Warrior and how they navigate the city spaces they occupy.
Both the Adventure Support Pack and Atric Pack are available from adidas.co.za, adidas Originals stores, as well as various selected retailers. Pricing ranges from R2,999 to R3,999.
