adidas has partnered with END. in a collaboration that sees the launch of two models: the ZX 700 Boat and NMD Chukka C1.
The design execution and materials used on both have drawn inspiration from the barren terrain of Saharan Africa, the 3.5 million square miles of undulating sand dunes which sprawl across the continent. The beige ZX 700 Boat will be available in different shades, as it reflects military desert camouflage. The NMD, on the other hand, features a deep green theme, as well as a geometric, honeycombed upper as reference to cacti, one of the few plants that are able to withstand the harsh desert environment.
END. has been around since 2005, and has grown from a small store in North East England to a 3-story emporium, and who have also become an online authority on menswear and footwear. The company’s reputation is built on quality and attention to detail, which is evident in their creations, along with their curated look books, an ultra-sleek retail environment, as well as a general devotion to a strong, contemporary design aesthetic.
The adidas Consortium x END. range drops this weekend, 12th November 2016, and will be available at Shelflife stores in both Cape Town and Johannesburg. Pricing for both sneakers are as follows:
- NMD Chukka C1 x END: R2399.00
- ZX 700 Boat x END: R2199.00
