According to rumours, Jason Todd/Red Hood might be the main villain in the next Batman solo film. While Ben Affleck and Jared Leto are more than likely (probably definitely) to reprise their roles as Bruce Wayne/Batman and the Joker respectively, there’s been no mention of who will don the hood yet (although, this could still be revealed in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice). So we’ve racked our brains and come up with a list of four names that could pull off the role:
The new Star Wars baddie pulls off the villainous role and undoubtedly is the right age to portray Todd. The question is, will his new role in the Star Wars universe keep him tied up for the next couple of years?
Jason Todd is a kid from the wrong side of the tracks who got caught up in a whole lot of trouble. Sound familiar? While Paul might not look like the comic book version of Todd, he certainly could pull off the role of a damaged soul.
The favourite choice since Ackles did provide the voice to Todd in the animated film Batman: Under the Red Hood. Many fans already view him as the quintessential Red Hood, but does Warner Bros. think he’s a big enough name?
If you haven’t seen it yet, watch The Guest. Stevens is pretty much Todd in a different film and he’s more than capable of portraying someone with an agenda. Also, who wouldn’t want to see him beat Leto’s Joker with a crowbar?
