The director of “X-Men: Days of Future Past”, Bryan Singer (producer and writer of more than two dozen productions including Superman Returns), is being accused of sexually abusing a male teenager in a lawsuit filed Wednesday in Hawaii. According to the lawsuit, Michael Egan (who is now around 30), was just 17 years old when he was forcibly sodomized by Singer. The lawsuit claims Singer provided alcohol for young boys and offered them roles in upcoming movies, and then told them how “this group” controls Hollywood.
Singer’s lawyer, Marty Singer, says, “The claims made against Bryan Singer are completely without merit. We are very confident that Bryan will be vindicated in this absurd and defamatory lawsuit.”
“Hollywood has a problem with the sexual exploitation of children,” said Egan’s attorney, Jeff Herman, who handles sexual abuse cases across the country. “This is the first of many cases I will be filing to give these victims a voice and to expose the issue.”
