Watch: Super Mario Run and Switch Debut On The Tonight Show

Written by

During The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon got a chance to not only try out Nintendo’s soon to be released mobile game Super Mario Run, but also got the chance to play Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the new Nintendo Switch.

The Tonight Show
The Tonight Show had Nintendo of America’s Chief Operating Officer Reggie Fils- Aimé showcasing not only Nintendo’s new mobile game Super Mario Run but also their new console the Nintendo Switch. Fallon seemed genuinely excited to get his hands on both the Switch and the new Zelda game stating “I’m geeking out” quite a few times. Fallon also seems to know quite a few facts about the new system and what inspired Mityamoto to create the Zelda franchise in the first place, even getting a thumbs-up from the man himself. The demo had Link rolling a boulder onto (over) some explosive barrels taking out a group of unsuspecting goblins in the process. Fils- Aimé also showed how the Switch can be removed from the main console and used to game on the go, having Fallon fight off some enemies while in portable mode. It seems Nintendo will also be making an announcement (possibly a release date) on the 12th of January 2017 according to Fils- Aimé.

The more I see of the Switch the more I want (need) one, Nintendo seems to be ticking all the boxes with their new console.
