Although Sony and Marvel didn’t announce much regarding the new Spider-Man: Homecoming movie they did reveal a piece of concept art that confirms who the villain will be in the movie.
The concept art shows everybody’s favorite webhead facing off against none other than the Vulture. Marvel was reluctant to reveal who might portray the Vulture in the movie, but fans have been speculating that it could be Michael Keaton who will be donning the green wings. It has also been theorized that Logan Marshall-Green might be cast in the role of The Tinkerer. It could be that the tech used in the manufacturing of the Vulture’s flight suit might be Chitauri tech left on earth after the infamous Battle of New-York, and could explain why the suit does have visual similarities to the Chitauri armor (based on concept art).
The alias of The Vulture have been used by many characters in the Marvel universe. The original Vulture was Adrian Toomes a former electronics engineer who after being stabbed in the back by his business partner decides to use his latest invention, a flight harness, in order to turn to a life of crime.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is being directed by Jon Watts and stars Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr, Tony Revolori, Laura Harrier, Michael Keaton, Donald Glover and Zendaya, and is set to release in July 2017.
