You Might Not be Playing As A Jedi In Visceral's Star Wars Game

Fans have been eagerly anticipating news about Visceral’s new Star Wars game at E3 2017. Unfortunately, both EA and Visceral have been tight-lipped but, thanks to some new rumours doing the rounds, we now know a bit more about the mysterious game.

You Might Not be Playing As A Jedi In Visceral's Star Wars Game

Warning to those who don’t want to find out more about the game’s plot, here be minor spoilers.

According to fansite, Visceral’s Star Wars game is set between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. The game’s protagonist is said to be one of the few survivors of Alderaan’s destruction. Currently, the character is known as Dodger, due to the fact that he dodged a draft into the Imperial service, becoming an underworld criminal instead. Living on the outskirts of the Outer Rim, Dodger has become a wanted fugitive and has to use both his blaster and charisma if he is to successfully evade the Empire. It appears Dodger will also find himself involved in a business deal with Jabba the Hutt (which we all know doesn’t end well). But don’t fret, Dodger is also more than capable of taking care of himself as he is equipped with a light whip/grapple stick and a blaster (as long as he shoots first).

It might be a bit of a departure from playing as one of the Star Wars universe’s space wizards wielding a lightsaber, but with Amy Hennig (Uncharted 1, 2,3) on the job, there is little doubt that the story and it’s characters will make up for not getting to play as one of the Jedi.
