Ubisoft Confirms No Assassin’s Creed This Year As The Franchise Is Re-examined

Written by

It was confirmed by Ubisoft that the company would not release a new Assassin’s Creed game in 2016, as the publisher is currently re-examining the franchise.

This year Ubisoft is stepping back and will be re-examining the franchise as a whole, an article on the UbiBlog explains. The article also mentions that the team had learned a lot from the feedback they received from players, and will be updating their processes in order to make Assassin’s Creed a premier open-world franchise.
The team will be taking the year to evolve the game mechanics in order to deliver a unique and memorable gameplay experience.

There have been rumours that the next Assassin’s Creed game might take place in Egypt, but so far nothing has been confirmed.

Below is the trailer for the 2.5 D Assassin’s Creed Games, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles.
