Over the past week, director, Michael Bay, has revealed the some of the first vehicles for the latest Transformers film (no official title). The set photos include the slightly modified look for Optimus Prime, and a completely overhauled Bumblebee; now “a highly modified, vintage 1967 Camaro SS.” This means that both Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will have new looks for the film (apart from just the change in vehicles).
A new character, The Hound, has also been officially announced, which belongs to the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles from Oshkosh Defense.
Other vehicles already spotted include a 2013 Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse (worth $2.4 billion), a 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray, and a white Chevy ambulance (seen in the background with the other five cars).
Along with the new line-up of vehicles on set for the film, the cast has also seen a bit of a shake-up. The film will star Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, T.J. Miller and Li Bingbing. Filming started a short time back in Austin, Texas. Although no plot has been released, the film is set to hit theatres in little over a year, on 27th June 2014 to be exact.
