Finally, fans get the Batman we deserve. DC Collectibles takes it up a notch by giving us a quality New Batman Adventures Batman action figure with a wealth of accessories.

This is the Batman that most of us grew up watching. The New Batman Adventures: Batman figure is from the second season of the television series and it brings more articulation to the character. DC Collectibles has paid close attention to the details in the design and accessories.

The accessories are what make this figure really stand out. It includes nine interchangeable hands, an alternate cape, a Batarang, a grappling gun, and a detachable grappling hook. The only problem with the alternative hand is the frailty of the wrists (prepare yourself for a few mishaps when swapping out hands). Although, the different hands are really great and allow you to re-create a large amount of Batman’s classic poses.

The figure also comes with a rather impressive display stand. The base features the New Batman Adventures logo printed to the top. Like the Figma and Revoltech toys, it has a clear stand which is plugged into the base and clipped around Batman’s waist, allowing for dynamic action poses.

I, honestly, lost count of articulation points on this figure. The head allows it to look up, down and side to side with ease. He also has some pivot, thanks to the neck joint. His shoulders are not as articulated however, the cape limits the range of motion as it rests in the shoulder. The elbows have a single joint which is able to swivel and the wrists can move up and down, thanks to the hinge. Sadly, there is no ab crunch, only a swivel at the waist. The hips and upper thigh are connected using a special joint system that uses both pegs and swivels. So, Batman is able to do a full split and kick quite high. He has single jointed knees, a swivel at the top of his boots and ankle pivots which give his tiny feet some great movement.

The packaging is rather plain and tries to keep your focus on the figure in your hands. It is a normal Blister card box with a silhouette of the series logo. There are no other figures on the back. In fact, there is nothing much at all.

This New Batman Adventures: Batman action figure is definitely one of the favourite Batman figures in my collection. This is a figure that every Batman fan should own.
